THE FACT. Giants general manager Joe Schoen said at his Tuesday bye-week press conference that Tracy is headed to injured reserve with the hamstring injury that knocked him out of Sunday's overtime win over Houston, per NBC Sports' Myles Simmons. Schoen indicated the injury is not expected to be a long-term one and that Tracy should return this season. Giants Wire reported the Giants signed running back Greg Desrosiers off the Chargers' practice squad to cover the depth.

THE VERDICT. Tracy was playing 15 percent of the offensive snaps and had 55 rushing yards on the season, so in redraft he is a drop in anything shallower than a deep bench league. The read that matters is Cam Skattebo, who now has this backfield to himself with Devin Singletary in the complementary role. New York is on bye in Week 8, which hands Skattebo's own hamstring exactly the rest it needed before a Week 9 restart. Dynasty: hold Tracy, the timeline is short and the 2025 workload is still on tape. Desrosiers is a watch-list name only, and only if Skattebo's hamstring lingers.
