Colston Loveland: off injury report, plays Monday night

THE FACT. Chicago removed tight end Colston Loveland from its injury report Saturday, clearing the neck issue that had limited him in Friday's practice, per NBC Sports. The Week 8 practice report released Friday had added him as a new name with the neck problem, so this is a clean resolution rather than a partial upgrade.

THE VERDICT. No restriction, no designation, no reason to pivot. Redraft: start him where you already had him, and treat Monday night as a normal volume week with the Bears short-handed at running back. Dynasty: nothing here changes a thing. DFS: he is in play in single-game slates, where a cleared tight end on a team leaning pass is usually underpriced.

Fine on the redraft side, but "underpriced" is where I get off. He put up 12 targets against New England on Thursday night and he's sitting on a 26.1% target share over his last two games, with consensus right around TE5 this week. On a one-game Monday slate everybody can see that, so he's chalk, not a discount. Seattle has also been one of the stingier defenses against tight ends on a per-target basis lately. I'd rather pay up elsewhere at captain and take my Loveland shares in the flex spots.
