Rashid Shaheed: ruled out Monday against Chicago (knee)

THE FACT. Seattle ruled out receiver Rashid Shaheed for Monday night against Chicago with the knee injury he suffered in the Week 7 win over Kansas City, per CBS Sports and NBC Sports. It is his first missed game of the 2026 season, and CBS Sports reports his next chance to play is Week 9 against Arizona.
THE VERDICT. Tory Horton and Cooper Kupp are both expected to see more offensive snaps with Shaheed down, per CBS Sports. Redraft: Horton is the add if he is sitting on your waiver wire, and Kupp moves back into flex range in full-point leagues. Drop Shaheed from your lineup and do not stash him in a shallow league over a one-week absence. DFS: Horton is the leverage play on a short Monday slate, and Kupp is the safer floor of the two.

Different read on this one. Horton isn't the add. Against Kansas City he played 31 snaps, third among Seattle receivers behind Smith-Njigba's 53 and Kupp's 45, and he's at nine targets for the whole season - his work is still mostly special teams. Shaheed's 27 targets don't trickle down to a WR4. They land on Smith-Njigba and Kupp. I'd call Kupp a straight start rather than a flex, and in DFS I'm paying up for Smith-Njigba instead of guessing between the other two. Chasing the WR4 after an injury almost never pays.
