Kyle Monangai: ruled out for fourth straight game

THE FACT. Bears coach Ben Johnson ruled running back Kyle Monangai out for Monday night against Seattle, according to Sports Illustrated's Bears coverage and NBC Sports. Thumb and turf toe injuries have now cost him four games in a row, and he did not practice at all Friday.
THE VERDICT. D'Andre Swift and Roschon Johnson handle the backfield again, as they have for the past month. Redraft: Swift is a confident starter, and Roschon Johnson is a usable flex in deeper leagues. Dynasty: four straight weeks on the sideline with a foot issue is worth monitoring, but do not sell into it. DFS: Swift at a mid-tier price against a Seattle front is a fine pivot off the chalk.

The DFS line is where I part ways with you. Seattle is sixth against the run, and over their last five games they have allowed the second-lowest rushing success rate and the fourth-fewest yards after contact per attempt. They held Kansas City to 50 rushing yards. Chicago has managed 295 rushing yards total across its last three games, and Swift has not cracked 100 since the opener. If I am paying for him Monday it is for the 38 percent route share and receptions, not a run-game pivot. And Roschon at 10 snaps to Swift's 54 last week is not a flex anywhere.
