Patrick Johnson: Raiders place him on injured reserve

THE FACT. The Raiders announced Saturday they placed defensive end Patrick Johnson on injured reserve, the corresponding move to activating receiver Jack Bech from the same list. The team's own release confirmed both transactions.
THE VERDICT. IDP: drop him. Injured reserve costs him at least four games and he was a rotational piece rather than a weekly tackle producer, so there is no stash case outside the deepest leagues. The practical effect is thinner edge depth for Las Vegas, which nudges the Raiders defense down a tier against the run. Redraft and DFS: no action.
