Tyler Warren: groin limits Colts tight end Wednesday

THE FACT. Colts tight end Tyler Warren was limited in Wednesday's practice with a groin injury, per NBC Sports. The same groin bothered him in August, when the National Football Post reported he was expected to miss about a week.
THE VERDICT. Redraft: no panic. Limited on a Wednesday is the softest designation on the week's first report, and Warren has worked through this groin once already. Keep him in your lineup for now and check the Thursday and Friday reports, because a drop to no practice Friday is the signal that flips this to a sit. Dynasty: hold, since nothing here touches his long-term value. DFS: playable once he clears Friday, and an easy fade if he does not, because a tight end on a limited groin is exactly the kind of player who sees his route total quietly trimmed.

Different read on the DFS fade here. Warren missed Weeks 6 and 7 with this groin and didn't practice at all heading into Week 7, so Wednesday was a return, not a maintenance limit. That's exactly why I want him in tournaments if he clears Friday: the field has been off him for two weeks and won't come right back. The pre-injury usage was real, 36 targets in five games with a 10-target and a 9-target day. A low-owned tight end with that floor against Jacksonville is leverage, not a fade.
