Tremaine Edmunds: reported out for the season (shoulder)

THE FACT. Giants linebacker Tremaine Edmunds is out for Sunday against the Texans and is reported to be finished for the season, per ESPN as relayed by NFL.com on Friday and by Sports Illustrated's Giants coverage. New York's own injury report lists him as out with a shoulder injury after he did not practice all week, and the team has not announced a season-ending timeline.

THE VERDICT. IDP: this is a roster-ending move in most formats, so cut Edmunds in redraft IDP and spend the spot on a linebacker with a path to every-down work. Dynasty IDP: hold only if you have deep bench room, since he still carries name value. Redraft: no direct offensive impact, but a Giants defense already without cornerback Greg Newsome II gets thinner in the middle, which raises the floor for opposing backs and tight ends. DFS: a modest bump for Houston's pass catchers.
