Tony Pollard: back at practice Friday, good to go

THE FACT. Titans running back Tony Pollard returned to practice Friday after taking Thursday off and is good to go for Sunday's game at Cincinnati, per the team's official Friday practice report. Tennessee ruled out fellow running back Tyjae Spears with a knee injury in that same report.

THE VERDICT. Pollard goes into the weekend healthy in a backfield that just lost Spears, and that points to the kind of workload that makes him a straightforward start. Redraft: start him as an RB2. DFS: he belongs in cash games at his price, since the appeal is the touch floor rather than the ceiling. Dynasty: no change. Survivor and betting players should note Tennessee still has to move the ball on the road.

Respectfully, the floor framing undersells this one. Pollard just put up 28 touches, 155 yards and three scores, and over the last two games he's at a 74.8 percent snap rate with 83 percent of the rushing work. That was with Spears alive. Now Spears is out and Cincinnati has allowed the highest explosive run rate in the league over its last five games plus the fourth-most rushing yards over expectation per attempt. That is not a cash-only touch monster, that is a bell cow with a top-five ceiling. RB1 for me, and I want him in tournaments too.
