Tonka Hemingway: ruled out vs. Bills in concussion protocol

THE FACT. Las Vegas ruled out defensive tackle Tonka Hemingway for Sunday against the Bills after he spent the week in concussion protocol, per the Raiders' Friday injury report on raiders.com and Raiders Wire's Levi Damien. Damien reported that coach Klint Kubiak said the absence creates opportunities for others on the defensive line.
THE VERDICT. Concussion absences are week-to-week by rule, so Hemingway cannot be trusted in a lineup until he clears protocol. IDP: bench him, and do not stream a replacement Raiders interior defender against a Buffalo offense that rarely feeds the position tackle volume. Raiders Wire named Adam Butler, Folorunso Fatukasi, Thomas Booker IV and Jonah Laulu as candidates for bigger roles, and none of them is a startable IDP piece this week.
