Tanner Hudson: pec injury still being evaluated during bye

THE FACT. Bengals coach Zac Taylor said Monday that tight end Tanner Hudson's pec injury, picked up on a special teams play, is still being evaluated and that no injured reserve decision has been made, per NFL.com and Bengals Wire. Taylor also confirmed linebacker Swayze Bozeman is going on injured reserve after breaking his forearm in Sunday's win over Miami, and Bengals Wire reports Cincinnati is now into its bye week.

THE VERDICT. Hudson was never a tight end you planned a week around, so the direct damage here is small. Redraft: if you are carrying him in a deep league, cut him rather than hold a bye-week body with an IR designation hanging over it. The bigger point is the bye itself, so set your waiver claims knowing every Cincinnati skill player is off your lineup card this week. IDP: Bozeman's forearm ends his season, and deep-league managers should move on now.
