Stefon Diggs: sat Wednesday, Quinn expects Thursday practice

THE FACT. Commanders receiver Stefon Diggs did not practice Wednesday, per NFL.com. NBC Sports reported later Wednesday that coach Dan Quinn said Diggs will practice Thursday, which turns the absence into a scheduled day off rather than a Sunday concern.

THE VERDICT. A coach putting a player back on the field the next day is the clearest signal you get mid-week, so do not react to the Wednesday line. Redraft: start him against Philadelphia. Washington placed Terry McLaurin on injured reserve with a season-ending torn patellar tendon, so Diggs is the clear top target in that room and his share should hold or grow the rest of the way. Dynasty: his value rose with McLaurin out. DFS: in play, and confirm the Thursday practice happened before locking him.
