Saquon Barkley: hamstring flares up in Cowboys loss

THE FACT. Saquon Barkley returned from a two-game hamstring absence and scored on an eight-yard run, but the hamstring became an issue again: he spent time in the medical tent, went to the locker room before halftime, came back for the second half and was then held out while Philadelphia managed his workload, per USA TODAY's Jacob Camenker and SB Nation's Alexis Chassen. Philadelphia had not released an injury update after Monday night's 38-21 loss to Dallas.
THE VERDICT. This is a managed hamstring, not a healthy one, and he was reported grimacing after a 12-yard run in the third quarter. Redraft: hold him, but line up your contingency now instead of Sunday morning. Dynasty: no reason to move him at a discount over one uncomfortable night. Waiver Wire: Dameon Pierce is the first add if the Eagles sit Barkley, though Pierce left Monday's game hurt as well. DFS: fade him until Philadelphia confirms a real workload.

Different read on the dynasty line here. A back with his mileage who lands back in the tent one game into a return, on a 2-5 team riding a five-game skid, is a sell-high window, not a hold. He still put up 7 carries for 62 and a score and got a touch on basically every snap he played, so to the guy on the other side of the trade that box score still reads RB1. That is exactly when you move him. Sunday night at Washington is not going to make the offer better.
