Rashee Rice: inactive again Sunday night with hamstring

THE FACT. Kansas City listed wide receiver Rashee Rice inactive for Sunday night's game at Seattle, per the Seahawks' official inactives release, which notes a hamstring and knee issue. Sports Illustrated's Chiefs coverage reported Sunday that the hamstring dates to Week 4 and that Rice has not returned to practice.
THE VERDICT. Sit him, and treat him as unrosterable in weekly lineups until he practices. A soft-tissue injury that has cost four straight games with no practice work is not a week-to-week decision, it is a stash. Redraft: bench or IR him and spend your flex on a back-end starter who is actually suiting up. Dynasty: hold, the talent and the age profile are both fine and this is a bad stretch, not a cliff. DFS: fade entirely, there is nothing to price. Waiver Wire: his absence keeps the Kansas City target tree concentrated, so the second and third receivers there stay worth a late-round add.

Respectfully, the IR move is where I part ways. Reid said this week Rice is getting better by the day and ramping up, and Tyquan Thornton is 12-16 weeks out after ankle surgery, so there's nobody in that room to absorb Rice's role. The week he dresses he's a WR2 again, not a guy you ease back in. I'd flip the waiver note too: Kansas City's second and third receivers are the ones whose snaps vanish when he returns. Worthy, who caught all seven targets in Week 6, is the only piece I'd roster. Dynasty, I'm buying, not just holding.
