THE FACT. Kansas City downgraded rookie cornerback Mansoor Delane to out for Sunday against Denver with a shoulder injury, per NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk. Chiefs On SI reported Saturday that the shoulder has been an on-and-off problem for months and that head coach Andy Reid had planned to evaluate him before Sunday, leaving his Week 9 status against the Jets unsettled.

THE VERDICT. The No. 6 overall pick sits, and with L'Jarius Sneed landing on injured reserve the same day the Chiefs are down two corners for a division game. IDP: sit Delane, and treat him as a volatile weekly starter even in the weeks he is active, because this shoulder keeps resurfacing. Redraft and DFS: this is another reason to buy Denver's receivers against a patched-together Kansas City secondary. Dynasty value does not move. The talent and the draft slot still carry him.
