Joseph Ossai: ankle leaves Jets linebacker week to week

THE FACT. Jets coach Aaron Glenn said Wednesday that linebacker Joseph Ossai is week to week with an ankle injury, per NFL.com. Ossai lost time in late summer to a separate foot problem that NBC Sports also described as week to week.
THE VERDICT. Week to week with no return date in late October realistically means two games or more, so IDP managers need a replacement now rather than a roster spot held open. Stash him only in deep leagues of 14 teams or more and cut him anywhere shallower. The one thing working in his favor whenever he is cleared is opportunity: Glenn also said edge rusher David Bailey missed Wednesday's practice with a groin injury, so New York is working through that group short-handed.
