Jalen Pitre: Texans rule out safety with shoulder injury

THE FACT. Pitre will not play Sunday against the Giants because of a shoulder injury, per the Texans' official Week 7 injury report updated Friday and NFL.com's Friday news roundup. Houston also ruled out safety Reed Blankenship, running back David Montgomery and tackle Blake Fisher.

THE VERDICT. IDP: sit him and do not hold a roster spot waiting on news, since Houston attached no timeline to the shoulder. Redraft: nothing to do on offense. DFS: two safeties out thins Houston's deep coverage, so correlated New York passing exposure is live at a reasonable price. Survivor: this is not a reason to touch Houston, which is 2-4 and already shorthanded.
