Jalen Hurts: NFL and NFLPA to review Eagles handling

THE FACT. The NFL and the players union said in a joint statement that they are working together to review the circumstances of Hurts' blood-clot diagnosis, Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reported Sunday. Florio added that the union has not yet opened its own formal investigation but is expected to. The Eagles said a week ago that an initial superficial vein thrombosis in Hurts' calf was later identified as deep vein thrombosis with clots in both lungs, ending his season.
THE VERDICT. Nothing here changes a lineup. Hurts is out for the year and Tanner McKee has started in his place, which rosters have already absorbed. Redraft: no waiver action to take. Dynasty: Hurts' own outlook is unchanged — Philadelphia has said it expects a full recovery — so the review matters for how the club handles injury reporting, not for his long-term value. File it under news you should know rather than news you act on.
