George Pickens: limited Wednesday with shoulder and hamstring

THE FACT. Pickens was limited Wednesday with shoulder and hamstring injuries, per NBC Sports' Charean Williams and the Week 8 injury report published by the Cardinals, Dallas's opponent. The Cowboys did not hold a full practice Wednesday, so the levels are estimates.

THE VERDICT. The hamstring is the part to watch, not the shoulder. Redraft: start him, but keep a bench option ready in case Friday brings a questionable tag. DFS: he stays in the player pool against Arizona, though a soft-tissue tag trims his ceiling. Dynasty: no change.

Respectfully taking the other side on the start call here. Pickens lives on go routes, and he was second in the league in them earlier this season behind only Metcalf, so a hamstring hits the exact part of his game that matters. He is at 485 yards and two scores on 58 targets at 13.1 a catch, and against Houston Lamb drew 21 targets to his three. That is already a boom or bust week to week profile. If I have a healthy flex I am sitting him, and in DFS I fade outright rather than just shaving the ceiling.
