James Mitchell: Cowboys elevate tight end from practice squad

THE FACT. Dallas elevated tight end James Mitchell from the practice squad on Saturday, one of two moves alongside activating safety P.J. Locke from injured reserve, according to Mike Moraitis of Dallas Cowboys On SI. Mitchell, a former Lions fifth-round pick, joined the Cowboys practice squad in early September.
THE VERDICT. Redraft: no add. Gameday elevations at tight end almost never translate into targets, and Mitchell has no established role in this offense. Waiver Wire: leave him there and spend your claim elsewhere. DFS: fade. He becomes worth a second look only if Dallas loses another tight end during the game.
