David Montgomery: ruled out against Giants with groin

THE FACT. Houston will be without running back David Montgomery against the Giants on Sunday with a groin injury, per NFL.com's Friday roundup. NBC Sports, citing NBC Houston's Aaron Wilson, reported Friday that Montgomery would not play in Week 7.

THE VERDICT. Redraft: he stays benched, and whoever handles Houston's carries gets a volume bump against a Giants defense that lost two linebackers to season-ending injuries this week. DFS: the cheaper Houston back is a leverage play if the price has not caught up to the news. No replacement has been formally named, so confirm the Sunday inactives before you lock lineups. If the handcuff is sitting on waivers, add him now.
