David Bailey: groin keeps Jets edge out of practice

THE FACT. Jets edge rusher David Bailey did not practice Wednesday with a groin injury, per NFL.com. Athlon Sports reported Wednesday that Glenn said the groin is still bothering Bailey, who hurt it against Miami on Sunday but finished that game, and that Glenn will set his official game status later in the week.
THE VERDICT. A Wednesday absence on a soft-tissue injury the coach calls lingering is a sit signal, not a wait-and-see. IDP: bench him for Week 8 and start a healthier rusher, because even if Bailey is active a groin limits the pass-rush snap count that drives his scoring. Watch Thursday's report; a limited session is the minimum before trusting him again. Redraft and DFS: no play.
