THE FACT. Arizona listed quarterback Carson Beck as questionable for Sunday against Denver with a back injury after he sat out Thursday's practice, per NFL.com's Friday league roundup and CBS Sports' Shanna McCarriston.
THE VERDICT. Redraft: a questionable quarterback drawing Denver is not a start even at full health, and Arizona is also without running back Jeremiyah Love. Sit Beck. DFS: fade him and fade the Cardinals' passing game outright. Dynasty: this is a one-week injury note, not a signal on his long-term value.
Sitting Beck, fine. Fading the whole Arizona passing game is where I get off the bus. McBride is running a 27.7 percent target share with 13 red zone looks, about 28 percent of their red zone throws, and that role does not evaporate because the matchup got hard. Jeremiyah Love out all week means fewer handoffs they trust, which usually means more quick stuff over the middle. Denver allowing 208 pass yards a game is good, not a blackout. I am starting McBride and happily taking him in DFS while the field reads fade Arizona.
