Cam Skattebo: six-month recovery after multiple ankle injuries

THE FACT. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that Skattebo's recovery from a dislocated ankle, a fractured fibula and a ruptured deltoid ligament will take roughly six months, per NFL.com. The Giants placed him on injured reserve Tuesday after surgery. NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk reported the same three injuries Wednesday and said Rapoport expects Skattebo to be ready for the team's offseason program.
THE VERDICT. Redraft: drop him. A six-month timeline ends his season outright and there is no stash value left in a league that ends in December. Waiver Wire: whoever absorbs the New York backfield work becomes a speculative add, but check the depth chart before you commit real FAAB, because the Giants have been shuffling that room. Dynasty: hold, and buy low if a frustrated manager is shopping him, since the reported timeline points to a normal offseason ramp rather than a career-altering injury. DFS: nothing to see.
