Calvin Ridley: questionable against Cincinnati despite full Friday

THE FACT. Tennessee listed receiver Calvin Ridley as questionable for Sunday's game at Cincinnati with a hip injury, per NFL.com's Week 8 injury report and the Bengals' official Friday report. Ridley was limited Wednesday and Thursday before practicing in full Friday.

THE VERDICT. A full Friday after two limited days is the best version of a questionable tag. Redraft: lean start, especially with Carnell Tate ruled out, which concentrates the target share. DFS: he is a reasonable tournament play against a Cincinnati defense missing safety Kyle Dugger, but the hip and the tag mean you want a pivot ready. Confirm his status at the inactive deadline before locking lineups.

Respectfully, the practice report is the least important thing about Ridley this week. He's at ten targets in six games, 1.7 a game, roughly a 5 percent target share, 81 yards and zero scores. That isn't a hip problem, it's a role problem. He's also been splitting the outside with Ayomanor, who out-routed him 117 to 101 through six weeks and then drew seven targets the game Ridley sat. Tate being out funnels work to Wan'Dale and Ayomanor long before it finds Calvin. I'm benching him in every redraft format and leaving him off DFS entirely.
