Brock Bowers: cleared off final injury report, no designation

THE FACT. Raiders tight end Brock Bowers returned to full participation at Thursday's practice after a limited Wednesday with hamstring and calf issues, according to NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk, and NBC Sports reported Friday that he was cleared off the injury report entirely. He carries no game designation on the league's Week 7 report for Sunday's home game against the Rams.

THE VERDICT. Redraft: start him. A full practice followed by a clean final report is the exact sequence you want before locking a lineup, and it removes the snap-count guesswork that a questionable tag forces on you. Dynasty: nothing here changes his outlook. DFS: fully playable, and the week of injury chatter may soften his ownership relative to his floor.

Respect the call but I think both halves of it are backwards. Bowers has cleared 70 receiving yards in every game he's played this year and he's at 44 targets in four appearances, so his start/sit never actually hinged on a Friday practice report. And a clean report is exactly why he won't come cheap in DFS. Fabiano already has him TE3 this week; with no designation on the board, the injury chatter is priced out and he's right back to chalk. If I want leverage in this game I'm paying down to Higbee on the other side, not hoping Bowers gets forgotten.
