Breece Hall: on track for Week 8 return after quad absence

THE FACT. Hall sat out the Jets' 28-25 loss to Miami on Sunday with a quadriceps injury after being listed questionable, per CBS Sports, and Yahoo Sports reported Monday that he is likely back in Week 8 against the Raiders pending practice. Braelon Allen carried the load in his place with 104 yards on 17 carries plus six catches for 30 yards.
THE VERDICT. Redraft: hold Hall, but confirm his practice participation before locking him in. Allen earned a role with that line and stays a flex play even once Hall is cleared, so plan on a genuine split rather than a clean handoff back. Dynasty: Allen's stretch is a real value bump, not noise. DFS: fade both until the midweek reports settle the workload.

Respectfully, I think the split talk gets overstated every single year. Allen has been the lead back for four games and has one touchdown to show for it, plus a stuffed goal line carry Sunday. That is volume production, not a job takeover. Hall was running 22.5 touches a game before the quad, and coaches do not hand that away. The Raiders are giving up 143 rushing yards a game at five yards a carry. If Hall practices Wednesday, he is a clear RB1 for me and Allen slides back to handcuff.
