Breece Hall: limited in Wednesday practice with quad injury

THE FACT. Jets running back Breece Hall was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice with a quad injury, per NFL.com and CBS Sports. Head coach Aaron Glenn gave the update after the session.
THE VERDICT. Limited on Wednesday is the normal mid-week rhythm for a back managing a soft-tissue issue, so lean toward him playing. Redraft: hold and plan to start him, but line up a bench option in case Friday brings a downgrade. Dynasty: no change, a quad strain does not move his value. DFS: fade until the Friday designation lands, because a quad can quietly cut into his snap share even in a game he suits up for.

Respectfully, the start plan is the shaky part here. Hall has missed four straight since getting hurt in Detroit, and before that he was running 3.2 a pop on 51 carries. Meanwhile Allen has been the lead back all four weeks and just went 17 for 104 with six catches against Miami. A guy producing like that does not hand the job back the week the starter gets cleared. I have Hall benched in Week 8 and treat him as a buy-low for November. And the DFS logic cuts the other way. Nobody rosters a limited back at that price, which is exactly where the leverage is.
