THE FACT. Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty will play Sunday against the Bills, head coach Klint Kubiak said Wednesday, per NFL.com citing ESPN.com. Jeanty pushed through ankle and foot injuries against New England and Kubiak said he is feeling considerably better physically; ESPN reported on Oct. 9 that Jeanty went into that Patriots game questionable, with the ankle problem dating back to late August.

THE VERDICT. Start him. A head coach volunteering a Wednesday guarantee is about as clean as in-season running back news gets, and the useful read is that the ankle is trending up rather than dragging on. Redraft: lock Jeanty in as a weekly starter and stop burning a bench spot on a handcuff. Dynasty: no change, this was never a long-term worry. DFS: playable, and news that reads as merely "will play" tends to keep his ownership below where his projection sits.
