Adonai Mitchell: returns Sunday after four-game finger absence

THE FACT. Jets receiver Adonai Mitchell will play Sunday against the Dolphins, head coach Aaron Glenn announced Friday, per the team's own site and NBC Sports' Josh Alper. Mitchell hurt a finger in practice before Week 3 and has missed the last four games; he worked through this week's practices and was set to be a full participant Friday.
THE VERDICT. Waiver Wire: a low-cost claim at 3 to 5 percent FAAB if you need receiver bodies. Redraft: he belongs on your bench in deeper leagues, not in your starting lineup in his first game back. DFS: punt-priced flier only until we see a snap count. Dynasty: hold, four games lost to a finger issue does not change the profile.

Different read from me on the bench call. Before the finger, Mitchell put up 9 catches for 123 yards on 15 targets in two games, including a team-high 12 targets in Week 2. That is a real role, not a guy you ease back in. Glenn already said he plays, and he is still rostered in under a fifth of ESPN leagues. Omar Cooper Jr. earned his snaps, no argument, but I am not sitting a healthy returning starter for a rookie. I am bidding past five percent and flexing Mitchell on Sunday.
