Adonai Mitchell: active vs. Dolphins after four-game absence

THE FACT. Adonai Mitchell is active for the Jets against the Dolphins on Sunday, per the team's official game-day inactive report, returning after missing four games following finger surgery. CBS Sports and ESPN both reported earlier in the week that he had been cleared to play.

THE VERDICT. Redraft: a volatile flex, not a confident start. Four games off the field make his route load a guess, so the ceiling is real and the floor is near zero. Dynasty: hold, since the finger issue was structural rather than soft-tissue and his role should come back. DFS: tournament-only at a low price.

I'm the other way on the flex label here. Before the finger, Mitchell went 9-of-14 for 123 yards in two games - that's almost nine a target, not a mystery role, and he steps back into snaps Tim Patrick had been eating. He cleared with no designation too, so there's no game-time sweat. Miami is allowing a league-high 76.6 percent completion rate and 7.8 yards per attempt, 27th. That's a WR3 I'd start without blinking, and at his price he's live in cash, not just a tournament dart.
