THE FACT. New England ruled A.J. Brown out for Sunday's game against Miami, the team announcing it Saturday, per ESPN's Mike Reiss, with Ian Rapoport reporting Brown's knee flared up during the week. Coach Mike Vrabel said Friday that Brown could not finish Wednesday's practice, and Brown is still managing the right high ankle sprain from the season opener that sent him to injured reserve.

THE VERDICT. Sit him and move on this week. Redraft: this is a hard out rather than a game-time call, so start a full-time replacement instead of holding the spot open. ESPN's 53-man list leaves New England with DeMario Douglas, Kyle Williams, Efton Chism III and Jalen Hurd at receiver, and the targets have to go somewhere, which makes Douglas and Williams the speculative adds in deeper leagues at 5 to 10 percent FAAB. DFS: fade the Patriots pass game at full price. Dynasty: one missed week changes nothing, but a knee issue stacked on a season-opening high ankle sprain is worth tracking.
