P.J. Locke: activated from IR, expected to start Sunday

THE FACT. The Cowboys activated safety P.J. Locke from injured reserve Saturday, per NBC Sports, which listed a plantar fascia injury. Sports Illustrated's Cowboys site reported the same move Saturday alongside a practice-squad elevation for tight end James Mitchell, and noted Locke has not played since a Week 2 foot injury sent him to IR.
THE VERDICT. IDP: a deep-league add only. Sports Illustrated's Cowboys site expects Locke to start next to Malik Hooker, with Alijah Clark and Markquese Bell sliding down the rotation, though Clark is still projected for meaningful snaps. That split keeps Locke short of a reliable weekly tackle floor. Redraft and Dynasty: no action, he carries no offensive value. DFS: fade.
