Maliek Collins: Browns sign defensive tackle to extension

THE FACT. The Browns announced Monday that defensive tackle Maliek Collins signed a two-year extension, per NFL.com and NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk, which reported the deal came together over the weekend. General manager Andrew Berry credited Collins with disruption in the middle of Cleveland's defense.

THE VERDICT. IDP: Collins stays a usable DT2 in formats that reward pressures and tackles for loss, with 3.5 sacks, six tackles for loss and eight quarterback hits through seven games. There is no roster change here, so nothing to add or drop, but the extension locks in his snap share rather than putting him on the deadline block. Dynasty IDP: hold with confidence, Cleveland just paid for two more years of interior pass rush. Redraft: no action in offense-only leagues.
