Joshua Karty: Rams elevate kicker for Chargers game

THE FACT. The Rams called kicker Joshua Karty up from the practice squad to the active roster on Saturday for the Chargers game, per ESPN's Sarah Barshop and Rams Wire's Brock Vierra. Both reports say Brandon McManus remains on the roster and that Karty's role has not been defined. Long snapper Jake McQuaide was elevated in the same set of moves with Joe Cardona doubtful on Friday's report with an ankle injury.

THE VERDICT. Nothing here forces a move. McManus is the field goal and extra point kicker until Los Angeles says otherwise, so Redraft managers streaming him should hold. Karty is not an add: an elevated specialist with an undefined role, possibly limited to kickoffs, scores nothing in standard scoring. DFS: no play on either kicker.
