Jeffery Simmons: Bears land All-Pro for two first-rounders

THE FACT. CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz reported Thursday morning that the Titans have agreed to trade All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons to the Bears, and neither club had announced the deal. Chicago sends its 2027 and 2028 first-round picks plus a 2027 fourth-rounder and gets Simmons and a 2028 fifth-rounder, per NBC Sports and USA TODAY. Simmons is 29, signed a three-year extension before the season, and leaves a Tennessee team sitting at 1-6.
THE VERDICT. This is the biggest move of the deadline cycle so far. IDP: buy Simmons, who set career highs of 11 sacks and 17 tackles for loss in 2025 and now plays in a Chicago front that can afford to let him work one-on-one. Redraft: the fallout lands on offenses, not on Simmons, so downgrade interior run games facing the Bears and treat Chicago as a more viable defense stream. Dynasty: Tennessee is a full seller at 1-6, so expect more Titans veterans moved before the November 10 deadline.
