Jaydon Blue: Eagles sign running back to active roster

THE FACT. Philadelphia signed Blue from its practice squad to the active roster Wednesday as the corresponding move for Dameon Pierce's injured reserve placement, per NBC Sports' Charean Williams. It is his second active-roster stint with the Eagles this season after he was waived following the first in Week 6. A 2025 fifth-round pick of the Cowboys, he ran 34 times for 129 yards and a touchdown in five games for Dallas.
THE VERDICT. Waiver Wire: add at 3 to 5 percent FAAB in deep leagues only. With four Philadelphia running backs on injured reserve, the path to touches is genuinely open even though the pecking order is not yet established. Redraft: bench stash, not a lineup play this week. Dynasty: a free-agent-pool add in leagues deeper than 20 rounds. Do not bid up — the Eagles have cycled through this exact roster spot all season, Blue included.

Deep leagues only feels light to me here. Barkley played nine snaps Monday before the back sent him to the medical tent, and he said himself it wasn't responding the way he wanted. Then the room behind him got gutted in a single afternoon with Pierce, Bigsby and Shipley all landing on IR. That isn't a crowded committee waiting to sort itself out, it's a one-injury-away job. I'm bidding double digits in a standard 12-teamer and treating Blue as the handcuff, not a 3 percent dart I forget about by Sunday morning.
