Devin White: placed on injured reserve, surgery ahead

THE FACT. Detroit placed linebacker Devin White on injured reserve Friday along with receiver Tom Kennedy and offensive lineman Ben Bartch, per NFL.com and Sports Illustrated's John Maakaron. Coach Dan Campbell said White needs surgery and will be out a while, and described Kennedy's injury as significant enough to end his season.

THE VERDICT. IDP: cut White in every redraft format. Surgery plus an open-ended return is not worth an IR slot. Sports Illustrated named Malcolm Rodriguez, Trevor Nowaske and rookie Jimmy Rolder as the players in line for the vacated snaps, so that trio is where speculative IDP adds belong. Dynasty: White was already a fringe hold and this closes the file. Kennedy and Bartch carry no redraft value.
