DeShon Elliott: activated off IR for Paris game

THE FACT. The Steelers activated safety DeShon Elliott from injured reserve on Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Saints in Paris, per the team's official site, and also elevated receivers Brandon Johnson and Brandon Smith from the practice squad for the game. Jeff Hathhorn of 93.7 The Fan reported Saturday that Elliott, who had missed the entire season with a knee injury, is expected to play.

THE VERDICT. IDP: add him where safety tackles score. A veteran back in Pittsburgh's secondary against a 2-4 New Orleans offense is a reasonable floor play, though expect a managed snap count in his first game back from a knee injury. Redraft: no action in standard leagues. The two receiver elevations are depth and special-teams moves, not fantasy adds, and both players return to the practice squad after the game.
