C.J. Gardner-Johnson: suspended, out Week 8 vs. Baltimore

THE FACT. The league suspended the Buffalo safety for one game without pay for spitting toward Las Vegas players during the Bills' Oct. 18 win, per the Associated Press, and NFL.com reported Monday that Buffalo moved him to the reserve/suspended list coming out of its bye. The ban covers Buffalo's game against Baltimore.

THE VERDICT. There is nothing to project here — he cannot play. IDP: take him out of Week 8 lineups and replace him with any starting safety who is actually suiting up, because a zero is a zero. Dynasty: no change at all for a one-game ban. The wider read is that Buffalo's back end thins out at the wrong time, with Baltimore hopeful of having Lamar Jackson back for the trip.
