Brian Thomas Jr.: rival teams expect Jaguars to weigh trade

THE FACT. Several teams around the league believe Jacksonville will seriously consider trading wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. before the deadline, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler in a report NBC Sports relayed Saturday. This is reported interest only. No deal has been agreed, and the Jaguars have said repeatedly that they have no plans to move him. Jaguars Wire noted Thomas played 15 snaps against Houston with none in the second half, and has nine catches for 105 yards and a touchdown this season with no receptions over his last two games.
THE VERDICT. Redraft: he is unstartable in Jacksonville as the role stands, and that is exactly why the trade talk matters. A move to a team that needs a target-earner is the only realistic path back to usable volume, so hold him if you have the bench space. Dynasty: do not sell into this. The discount is already priced in and the deadline could land him somewhere far better. DFS: no exposure until his snap share recovers.

The dynasty hold is the part I'd flip. Rumors like this are the last time the market pays full price for the name, and after twenty-odd years of dynasty I'd rather sell the story than the stat line. Nine catches, 105 yards in six games, 15 snaps against Houston with nothing after halftime, and Coen answering questions about him with "week to week." Even if a deal happens, the deadline is November 10, so he lands in a new offense with half a season left and no camp. Travis Hunter matched about half of Thomas's season line in that one game. I'm shopping him now.
