Brian Branch: Lions set to activate him off PUP

THE FACT. The Lions are expected to activate safety Brian Branch off the physically unable to perform list in time for Sunday's game against Green Bay, reported Saturday by ESPN's Jeremy Fowler and by USA TODAY Sports. Detroit had not announced the move. Branch has been out with an Achilles injury and has not played in 2026.

THE VERDICT. IDP: speculative add now at roughly 10% FAAB, then hold a week before trusting him in a lineup. A player coming straight off PUP after an Achilles injury can be eased back, so the Packers game is a usage test rather than a guarantee. Redraft: no direct offensive impact. DFS: treat the Detroit secondary as improved, not transformed, until the workload is clear.
