Brian Branch: Lions plan to play him in Week 7

THE FACT. Lions coach Dan Campbell said Monday that safety Brian Branch and center Cade Mays have returned to practice and are expected to be in the lineup for Week 7 against Green Bay, barring a setback between now and the game, according to NBC Sports' Josh Alper. Branch has not played since tearing an Achilles tendon last season, per Yahoo Sports.

THE VERDICT. IDP: activate him from your IR or stash slot now. A safety Detroit is planning back into the lineup after a year out is worth the roster spot, but expect the Lions to manage his snap count in his first game back, so do not bench a reliable producer for him in Week 7. Redraft: no direct offensive impact, though a healthier Detroit secondary trims the ceiling of the offenses it faces, starting with Green Bay.
