Alijah Huzzie: Jaguars sign him to active roster

THE FACT. Jacksonville signed cornerback Alijah Huzzie off Houston's practice squad and straight onto its 53-man roster, a move NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday and Sports Illustrated's Texans coverage carried the same day. Huzzie is a 25-year-old undrafted free agent who spent most of last season on Houston's practice squad and has not appeared in a game in 2026.

THE VERDICT. This is roster math, not a starting promotion, so there is nothing to chase in Redraft or Dynasty. IDP: leave him on the wire until Jacksonville actually puts him on the field for defensive snaps, because a corner added mid-season for depth rarely sees volume right away. The Houston side is the more interesting note, since the Texans just lost Jaylin Smith to injured reserve and now hand a corner they valued to a team they meet in London in Week 6. Fade in DFS.
