Alfred Collins: placed on IR, out for season (patellar tendon)

THE FACT. The 49ers placed defensive lineman Alfred Collins on injured reserve Thursday after he tore his patellar tendon in practice in Australia, ending his 2026 season, per Pro Football Talk's Myles Simmons. San Francisco also elevated wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge and defensive lineman Ogbo Okoronkwo from the practice squad ahead of the Week 1 game against the Rams.
THE VERDICT. IDP: Collins is a drop everywhere, including deep DL-required leagues, because a patellar tear carries a recovery that can bleed into next summer. Okoronkwo is a one-week hold at best in edge-heavy formats and not worth a roster spot in standard IDP. Dynasty: sell nothing here, just cut and move on. DFS: nothing actionable on the Rams side beyond a slightly softer interior for their run game.
