IDP Streamers Week 1: Free Starters Nobody in Your League Has Yet

IDP streaming is simpler than offensive streaming because the qualification is binary: does he play every down? A linebacker who is on the field for sixty snaps will out-score a more talented linebacker who plays forty, every time, and Week 1 is the one week of the year where the market has not caught up to who those every-down players are. Every name below opens as a starter on his team's current depth chart and is widely available. They are grouped by how confident you should be.

START THEM THIS WEEK. Akeem Davis-Gaither, Colts vs. Ravens (+3.5, total 47.5). 117 tackles in 2025 and the best combination of spread and total available to any linebacker outside the top ten. Indianapolis getting points in a 47.5-point game is the whole argument. Barrett Carter, Bengals vs. Buccaneers (-3.5, total 50.5). 106 tackles, and this is the highest-total game on the slate. Divine Deablo, Falcons at Steelers (+6, total 41.5). 73 tackles and 7 passes defensed; the total is low but a six-point road dog keeps its defense on the field.

Henry To'oTo'o, Texans vs. Bills (+1.5, total 44.5). 95 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks. Houston getting points at home with two elite rushers in front of him is a clean environment. Cody Barton, Titans vs. Jets (-1.5, total 38.5). 81 tackles and 11 passes defensed, and Cedric Gray being ruled out with a concussion removes the player who finished fourth in the NFL in tackles last season from the same linebacker room. Somebody absorbs those snaps. Barton is the most likely candidate.

GOOD FLEX OPTIONS. Mack Wilson Sr., Cardinals at Chargers (+9.5, total 47.5). 60 tackles last season, but the largest underdog spread of the week and a 47.5 total means Arizona's defense sees more snaps than anyone's. Dee Winters, Cowboys at Giants (-3, total 48.5). 101 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, Sunday night. Justin Strnad, Broncos at Chiefs (+2.5, total 43.5). 58 tackles with 4.5 sacks, a big-play profile for a free linebacker. Nakobe Dean, Raiders vs. Dolphins (-3, total 40.5). 55 tackles and 4 sacks. Dorian Williams, Bills at Texans (-1.5, total 44.5). 63 tackles.

ROOKIE STARTERS - ADD NOW, START SOON. Arvell Reese, Giants vs. Cowboys (+3, total 48.5). The fifth overall pick opens at linebacker in a Sunday night divisional game with the second-highest total of the week. Josiah Trotter, Buccaneers at Bengals (+3.5, total 50.5). Starting inside in the highest-total game on the board. Sonny Styles, Commanders at Eagles (+6, total 44.5). Six-point road underdog. Dillon Thieneman, Bears at Panthers (-3, total 47.5). First-round rookie opening at strong safety. Jacob Rodriguez, Dolphins at Raiders (+3, total 40.5). Starting in the middle for Miami.

SAFETY STREAMERS. Ronnie Hickman, Browns at Jaguars (+8.5, total 39.5). 103 tackles and the biggest road-underdog script of the early window. Nick Scott, Panthers vs. Bears (+3, total 47.5). 111 tackles - more than most rostered safeties - and almost certainly available. Jeremy Reaves, Commanders at Eagles (+6, total 44.5). 91 tackles. Xavier Watts, Falcons at Steelers (+6, total 41.5). 96 tackles and 11 passes defensed. Alohi Gilman, Chiefs vs. Broncos (-2.5, total 43.5). 90 tackles and 9 passes defensed on Monday night, which makes him a useful late-slate pivot if your Sunday goes badly.

LINE STREAMERS. Jalen Redmond, Vikings vs. Packers (-1.5, total 46.5). 6 sacks, 62 tackles, 12 tackles for loss - a genuinely startable line, and he is not rostered in most leagues. Gervon Dexter Sr., Falcons at Steelers (+6, total 41.5). 6 sacks from the nose. Moro Ojomo, Eagles vs. Commanders (-6, total 44.5). 6 sacks, and with Jonathan Greenard ruled out the Philadelphia rotation tightens around him. Jonah Laulu, Raiders vs. Dolphins (-3). 4 sacks and 51 tackles. Keeanu Benton, Steelers vs. Falcons (-6, total 41.5). 5.5 sacks and 51 tackles.

THE ONE THING TO DO ON MONDAY. Snap counts are published the day after every game. Pull the defensive snap percentages for every player on this page and add the ones above eighty-five per cent before your league's waiver run processes. That single habit, repeated weekly, is worth more than any ranking list including this one - because a ranking is an estimate of role and a snap count is proof of it.
