A.J. Brown: Vrabel says Week 2 availability unclear (ankle)

THE FACT. Patriots coach Mike Vrabel said Thursday he does not know whether A.J. Brown will be available next week after the receiver hurt his right ankle in the third quarter of Wednesday night's 13-10 loss at Seattle, according to the Associated Press' Kyle Hightower. Brown is set for more testing before the team settles on a treatment plan; New England hosts Pittsburgh on Sept. 20.
THE VERDICT. Redraft: plan as if Brown sits Week 2 and pivot to your bench receiver now rather than waiting on a Friday designation that may not come until next week. Do not drop him; a high-ankle sprain is typically a two-to-four-week absence, not a season. Dynasty: buy if a panicked manager shops him, because the target share in this offense when healthy is elite. DFS: fade in Week 2 slates until he is a full participant.
