A.J. Brown: out at least four weeks, IR under consideration (ankle)

THE FACT. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Thursday night that Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown is expected to miss at least four weeks with the high ankle sprain he suffered in the third quarter of Wednesday's 13-10 loss to Seattle, with a typical recovery window of four to six weeks. Jordan Schultz added that New England is weighing a move to injured reserve, which would lock in a minimum four-game absence.
THE VERDICT. Redraft: Brown is a bench stash, not a drop, in 10-team and deeper leagues; hold him through the IR window if you have the slot. His targets have to go somewhere, so the other Patriots pass catchers are the immediate adds once the Week 2 depth chart firms up. Dynasty: this is a buy-low window on a proven WR1 with a soft-tissue injury, not a structural one. DFS: fade the Patriots passing game until we see who absorbs the volume.
