Myles Garrett: McVay says recovery fast, four weeks minimum

THE FACT. Rams head coach Sean McVay said Myles Garrett is healing quickly from knee surgery, going from crutches to walking unaided inside a day, per Pro Football Talk's Michael David Smith on Friday morning. McVay would not set a return date and said Garrett will miss at least the four weeks his injured reserve stint requires.
THE VERDICT. Garrett is eligible to return October 18 in Week 6 against Arizona, but McVay's wording points to Los Angeles protecting him for the back half of the season rather than pushing him back the moment he is eligible. Dynasty: hold, the tone of this update is a positive. IDP: move him to an IR slot and stash him. If your league has no IR slot, four blank weeks is too much roster cost in a shallow format, so cut bait. Do not spend waiver money chasing a return date nobody has given.
