Lions: two offensive line starters miss Monday practice

THE FACT. Detroit's initial Week 2 injury report listed guard Christian Mahogany (hip) and tackle Blake Miller (knee) as non-participants, with Juice Scruggs (knee) limited and Christian Izien (groin) full, per Detroit Sports Nation's Don Drysdale on Monday, Sept. 14. The Lions held only a walkthrough, so those participation levels are estimates ahead of Thursday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff at Buffalo.
THE VERDICT. Two projected line starters sitting out on a short week is a real drag on Jahmyr Gibbs. Redraft: keep starting Gibbs, but trim your projection a notch if Mahogany and Miller are still out Thursday. DFS: fade Detroit's run-game plays at full price and get your exposure through Gibbs in the passing game instead. Dynasty: no change here, this is a short-term line problem and not a role change. Watch the Tuesday and Wednesday reports before you lock anything in.
