Jonnu Smith: inactive for Packers on Thursday night

THE FACT. Green Bay listed tight end Jonnu Smith among its six inactives for Thursday night's home game against Carolina, per the Packers' official inactives post and NBC Sports' Charean Williams. Neither list attached an injury to his name, and he carried no game-status designation on NFL.com's Week 8 injury report.

THE VERDICT. Redraft: he scores nothing tonight, so replace him with any tight end playing Sunday. Fade in DFS. Dynasty: a scratch with no injury behind it is a role signal rather than a health one, which is the worse version for a tight end you are holding. Wait for Friday's reporting before you make a drop call, but stop planning around him as a weekly starter.
